Mill     Frame

The Mill Frame, LLC founder is a master carpenter by trade and guy who has been in the framing and lumber business since 1975. He is a guy who knows how to read the home builder markets first hand when looking for the newest opportunity and is always out in front of most anyone. His vision for Luxor & Mill Frame LLC and the timing was spot on for multiple reasons. 

 

First he spotted the Canadian economy and housing market slowing down due to the exchange rate being tied to so much oil. He then knew the exchange rate was not at its bottom and when it finds its bottom it will be there for quite a while. Know that Canada produces some of the best framers in all of North America alongside with Luxor ability to deliver high-quality lumber products; he called the meeting. With his strong relationship with Luxor in BC and Richard Nutting and John Hunter in Alberta, he called a meeting with all of them in August of 2015 in Abbortford, BC.

 

Second, he knew that by pre-building walls and engineered floors in Canada using Canadian table labor rates instead of US piece work rates ties to US Workmen's Compensation insurance he could find margin and really support the US builders that is severely impacted by the labor shortage. His plan worked ad Mill Frame and Luxor is now very busy with turn-key framing contracts so they are no longer completely dependant on their countries  economy.

 

With Luxor ability to expand and produce these products, the Mill Frame founder is done with this project and now ready to target other builders and framers around the US for products labeled on the Millennium Brand with Luxor's Intel inside. The co-branded products can be found on the Millennium website and soon to be published by Ron Blank and Associates as AIA accredited courses with products that will offer LEED points.
